Personal Statement:

As a child, I discovered, empowered and resourced myself through dance. Those profound experiences of moving through space and sensing my own embodied being guided me to the field of dance/movement therapy and to body-centered psychotherapy. I have been in practice for over twenty years, and continue to rely on our moving and sensing human experience. Currently, I integrate cognitive, creative and somatic approaches with couples and adults of all ages and in all stages of life transitions. Among the issues we often explore are grief and loss, chronic pain and illness, the healing of old wounds and trauma, relationship and intimacy, and the manifesting of ones greatest potential.

I believe that transformation occurs in present moment experiencing. Whether we are engaged in exploring new territory, or integrating an understanding, present moment awareness and a body-centered focus help us uncover new information, amplify meaning and anchor new behavior. I am guided in this process by my client's interest and by their curiosity in their own organization and experience. Together, and in the context of our relationship, we explore, address, and express the inner dimensions of the self.
